OEG's CSO Awarded Forty Under 40

What a fantastic way to celebrate our business community's rising stars! Filled with an energy and excitement that was instantly contagious, the Casino du Lac-Leamy/Hilton Lac-Leamy was the perfect place to gather family, colleagues, and friends to celebrate the 2026 Forty Under 40 Award recipients.

From live shout-outs and fun videos to “cover shoots” and a thriving afterparty, co-hosts Sueling Ching and Michael Curran keep taking this signature event to a whole new level year after year.

The cheering section for OEG’s Chief Strategy Officer Michael Weatherhead, MBA overflowed into a second table. We even brought in a stunt double for Michael because he was in such demand for photos (although “Chris” snuck into a photo with Michael at the same time, clearly to orchestrate a double-take).

For Michael, this recognition is much more than an individual achievement. On the heels of our win for Best New Business at the recent Best Ottawa Business Awards, he has said many times that wins like this reflect a greater commitment to strengthening organizations by bringing out the best in people, building workforce capability, and developing leadership. It's at the heart of our work here at OEG and it keeps us focused on delivering value to employers who understand the win-win benefits of upskilling their teams.
